Publisher's Summary

You can take one of three stances in relation to another person: 1. Aggressive, 2. Assertive, and 3. Passive. If you are aggressive, you will alienate others and often find yourself in conflict. If you are passive, you will feel frustrated, powerless, and overwhelmed. If you are assertive, which is positioned between the two extremes, you are respected, you feel empowered, and you feel in-control.

With this one-of-a-kind program, feel strong, be strong, and get what you want. Learn how to correctly say "no" and to positively assert yourself in all ways. And when you are assertive, you can, with less stress, achieve much more.

Our self-therapy programs are deliberately designed to be repetitive. Do not expect them to entertain. Do expect them - when used as instructed - to upgrade the quality of your life. This program requires eight minutes a day for three weeks (average for most people).

Incredible!!

Being a school teacher many extra curricular activites come up. Many a time I was asked to take charge.I could not say "no". I felt small and meek, unable to voice my opposition. That is, until I purchased this Audio Program. I have since learned to stand up for myself. I have gained the courage to say "no,that's not what I want". I feel like a new man. I am in control of MY LIFE. Thank you Wisdom Scientific for the great program!

Background music is overwhelming

I really can't follow much of this audio because there is a flute playing in the back/foreground. I'm not sure if this is done intentionally, but it is very annoying. I catch every 3rd word of the reader. There are parts that have no background music and the message is enjoyable. I'll keep giving it a try, but would not have bought this had I known.

Good Info, but music needs to be turned down...

Would you consider the audio edition of Assertive Behavior to be better than the print version?

Don't know. Never owned the print version.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Remixed the audio tracks so that the music is more in the background instead of competing with the narrator.

Would you be willing to try another one of Wayne June’s performances?

Don't know.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Assertiveness is healthy and good.

Any additional comments?

Please remix the audio, so that people can hear what the narrator is saying.

Ah Man,

I was really expecting some sort of useful tools here. It's just a bunch of "hyponosis" claptrap and unrealistic situations. "When Frank tells his wife 'no," she respects him because she knows that when he says 'yes," he will follow through." If Frank is listening to this recording, he is probably trying to find a way to deal with his shrew of a wife who isn't going to magically change because he listens to an authoritative man chant catch phrases for 8 minutes a day for three weeks. SAVE YOUR TEN BUCKS ON THIS ONE!

It's okay

It's not a a bad program. It is simple and straightforward. It gives some good practical advice on being assertive, but it gets boring when you listen to it over and over, as they suggest you do.
