Critic Reviews

"[Suzy] Jackson narrates with verve and also conveys a folksy quality in Bibi's dialogue with friends, her parents, and her boyfriend, a Navy SEAL. With dramatic flair, Jackson collapses the distance between the protagonist and listeners. Her deliberate pacing and Koontz's inventiveness as a storyteller are a terrific pairing." (AudioFile)

Had to keep rewinding to try and make sense of it only to realise the story gets told much much later. Maybe too late to keep the reader reading. I thought TF that’s over when it finished!

Good listen

The author did an amazing job of weaving stories within stories and leaving me unsure as to what was real and what was supernatural. Very clever and a satisfying conclusion.

Have love many of Dean Koontz’ books, however this one left me a little disappointed. I found this one unnecessarily over descriptive, which made the overall story rather too disjointed. But as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, many may love its over verbose nature.

A long tall tale

Another masterpiece by Dean Koontz. High on mystery and intrigue but also an indepth look into human nature, good and bad.

Excellent clever story

Quite a twist. Enjoyed this book. The narrator was very good and made it an easy listen.

Great story

For those who say this is a unique story obviously haven't seen The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy spends 11 hours trying to go home, even wakes up to the exact same characters waiting for her. So disappointing once i realised.

Cancer, labradors & Nazi's oh my

If you would persevere past the first couple of chapters, maybe a few actually, the storyline Does get interesting. If you aren’t used to the accent, yes, you may need to not take offence to the pluckiness in the voice too. But if you are someone who is in for the ride rather than the destination, then seriously, hold on.

It’s a good ride…
