Publisher's Summary

A lost prince

Between years surviving on the streets and an ill-advised stint with Kien’s group of half-blood fae, Fen has seen his fair share of darkness. Sure, he helped capture Kien and put an end to the trouble he caused, but his actions contributed to one of the greatest upheavals of all - the return of magic to Earth. Now, Fen’s mother has named him the heir to the Unseelie throne, and he has discovered he has two mates he is unworthy to claim.

A deadly healer

The daughter of a Seelie artisan and a human woman, Maddy can’t find anyone among her father’s people willing to teach her to heal without causing harm. But finally, she has hope - a healer on Moranaia has agreed to help her. The problem? Maddy will have to travel to their world, leaving her girlfriend, Anna, unprotected on Earth. For the return of magic has awakened Anna’s latent water abilities, and the temptation of the nearby river could prove too much without Maddy near.

A canny enemy

When a slip of the tongue reveals that Fen could share a mate bond with both Maddy and Anna, all three must come to terms with their insecurities - and quickly. The poison they believed eradicated has appeared again, and Meren, the traitorous Seelie noble who had once worked with Kien, has returned from hiding. Together, Anna, Fen, and Maddy might be able to defeat the rising threat. But first, they must conquer their pasts.

Mis-categorized, should be in erotica

The author has a good story idea BUT places too much emphasis on "Romantic" connections and lurid descriptions of those connections. Each book follows the "romantic" connections of a pair of new characters rather than a focus on the story being told. This story could have been good but it should have come out in 2 MAYBE 3 books from a single point of view. The constantly increasing and blaring focus on relationship details not necessary to the story make the read cumbersome and the details of those encounters is not appropriate for a non-romantic or erotica categorization. If I had been reading rather than listening, I would have dropped the books completely after volume 3.

Engaging Series

I enjoyed how each series had its adventure while bring couples and families together throughout the series. well done. I would have liked an ending book that brought it all to an end together happily ever after. Oh well.

Unnecessary relationship spoiled the story

Did not appreciate the poly relationship focus. Also, didn't care for the narrator's presentation of previously established characters.

Good grief.

Narrators get 5 stars!

And now for the story: I’ve made it to chapter 21 and I am still waiting for the two heroines to stop being so silly. Right now they know that they are in danger, yet danger doesn’t cross their minds when strangers (including a man who matches the description of their mortal enemy) enter their space and grabs them. Which is just weird.

Also, there is a scene where one of the heroines, again after being grabbed by a strange man, listens to that stranger to “meet me at the water and tell no one”. Seriously? Come ON.

They are taking so long to put 2+2 together, I’m in awe…and not in a good way.

There is a lot of good suspense and unanswered questions regarding side-plots to keep me engaged, but having all these grown ass people be so unsure of everything about themselves and the people around them, it’s beginning to get annoying.

The first book was better because the heroine of that book had a bit of uncertainty because she was doing a new job, but she was very sure of herself and her abilities. This book & these characters, not so much.

With almost 20 more chapters to go, I’m hoping it will get more interesting.

very current

I liked this book, I imagine there will be some not appreciating the bi sexual and poly relationship. I thought she worked it well into her story line. she wasn't overly graphic like nora roberts can be, but didn't shy away from it either. if you have read the rest of the series, this is worth the expense
