Bobby cannavale at his finest with L.ATheatre Works
I love this audible version of the LA that are works of The MotherF—ker with the hat!
Living in Australia I don’t feel this show has been produced here on stage yet mainstream.
So to be able to hear the original broadway cast recording of the play / text is just such an immersive experience allowing me to be fully present with that MorherF—ker with the Hat.
With little to no knowledge of this performance I was hesitant to spend an audible credit. However the whole cast including Chris rock truly goes to show what a fantastic actor he is beyond comedian!
Highly recommend for actors and students at a higher level of trade TAFE or university to listen to this production as their is high impact scenes of violence, drugs and sex.
10/10 production.
The story line is brilliant to I had know idea what I was setting myself in for being a previous meme member if AA and having a sponsor that was just like Chris rock truly made me re live those moments I shared intimately with a stranger my emotions and thoughts and darkest secrets.
I also listen to audible whilst reading the text however I didn’t not have the text present for this read it was easy to listen to on 1.2x speed and that’s with my ADHD.

Great performances
I’ve never listened to an audiobook that was a production ot a play before. It was great and I think all the cast does a great job. A different way of consuming theatre and audiobooks and it worked great. The cast’s performances were very compelling - well worth the listen.
