Story
Want sex, drugs, and rock and roll? It’s all here. But what is so moving about Staci Layne Wilson’s unconventional coming-of-age story is that in spite of her rocky childhood, she describes her parents with deep affection, generosity, and pride. Hers is a story of triumph over a legacy of alcoholism, suicide, and Hollywood burnout, but more than that, it’s a tender, gripping tale of unconditional love (with a healthy dose of humor). Despite the downsides, her upbringing gave her the powerful determination to carve out a successful life on her own terms.

Stupid is what stupid does

Publisher's Summary
I Killed Pink Floyd's Pig is an all-access behind-the-scenes VIP tour of when rock was great, courtesy of Beau Phillips, a respected radio programmer and former head of marketing at MTV.
Phillips was an insider and occasional accomplice who witnessed the legends of classic rock in their heyday and takes listeners inside the dressing rooms, hotel suites, and private planes of Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, and dozens more to enjoy funny, decadent, and never-been-told stories of sex, drugs, and rock and roll.
The book's foreword was written by Sammy Hagar, former lead singer for Van Halen. He and Phillips met in the late 1970s, early in Hagar's career. Sammy wrote, "Beau has seen all of the rock and roll craziness - and his book is loaded with amazing stories."

If this was a physical book, I wouldn’t have been able to put it down
It couldn’t have been more engrossed in this book. Some of the stories related were so engrossing and others have definitely left some weird thoughts about certain artists. Such a wild ride from start to finish and I think Beau has had such an amazing life and such a wonderful story to share!
Thanks for letting us in on some of your amazing life experiences!

Moving and fascinating
Beau’s account of the Paul McCartney story literally reduced this grown man to tears! A worthwhile listen all of his experiences with so many rock stars.

A series of anecdotes without crescendo
None of the stories provide huge payoff but as a result the book feels largely free of embellishments & was an interesting read; like a rockstar bio without the orgies.

Disappointing
The author was smug, self important and mean spirited and has a horrible taste in music.
