"Artillerist i Stalingrad" er den tyske soldat og senere krigsfange Wigand Wüsters enestående øjenvidneberetning fra slaget om Stalingrad, som varede fra august 1942 til februar 1943, og som blev vendepunktet i Anden Verdenskrig. Wüster beskriver de brutale bykampe, kulden, sulten og det endelige nederlag, der skulle sende ham i krigsfangenskab sammen med 90.000 tyske kammerater. Wigand Wüster (f. 1920) deltog som tysk soldat i slaget om Stalingrad under Anden Verdenskrig. Han sad som krigsfange i Sovjetunionen fra 1943-1950. Herefter fik han lov at vende hjem til Tyskland, hvor han uddannede sig til advokat.
