Publisher's Summary

My fellow Americans, we are here for one reason: the fact that I picked Marc Havak to represent us in the crucible of carnage. Now, before we talk about how fantastic I am at making world leader decisions, let’s talk about how great this sequel is.

I've read many sequels, and all were bad. Very very bad. But this one? It's the best. And not just because I'm in it. No. Well, yes. I’m in it, and I always do a fantastic job with everything. But it’s also because Marc kicks a ton more alien ass, bangs a ton more alien babes, and generally shows the universe why Americans are the ones who always save the world.

another winner

This was a very good listen. It was nice being able to listen to the continuation of this wonderful series and watch the growth of the MC and his team.

Stop and enjoy the show

This is not an intellectual study of life or the cosmos. It is just a fun ride for a fanciful tale of adventure and cute romantic romps. I laughed and listened from start to finish. I did not stop but listened as I enjoyed my day from work. I hope the next book will be out soon and hopefully a bit longer in length. Oops that's what she said! I have a very long list of books I have listened too, so please take my review to heart but understand that this just may be my Bud Light to your Guinness. Thank you.

Why

Why is this MC just dropping pop culture phrases all the time, to people that live in a different galaxy that don’t understand him. He mentions this himself but yet he still does it I don’t get it. He’s too cocky, he’s too snarky , this dude is over the top he’s like too much mayo on a BLT sandwich. Tongue this guy down please humble him. I really think that the writing is good it’s just the MC is too over-the-top for no reason. I don’t see any justification for him to being the way he is. This is too much the Mel machismo and bravado balance him out.

It’s frustrating to listen too

The MC movie/tv/meme references get way out of hand. Every time he just shouts out a reference it usually doesn’t make sense and just takes out of the story. There is also a part in the book in the early chapters that just shows his immaturity and just makes you wanna stop listening. I still pushed on after that but I just kept getting frustrated with the MC. I stop around chapter 6. Idk how it’s gotten that many good reviews because it’s not even close to being that good. I would advise not to get this book.

meh

I wasn't a fan of the attempts at comedy, the jokes were lame. First book was better.

Better than a kick in the crotch!!

Yah, a lot-o-crotch kicking in this one and always a good laugh. Can't wait for the next audio book in the series. Jacobs has mixed in a criminal element, making his main character both hero and anti-hero with a twist of sarcastic wit. Watch out for that reporter though. What comes next?

Pop Culture references abound.

I would say a good listen, but you have to buy into the writers clear love of popular culture.
The book is full of movie quotes and trivia.
