Publisher's Summary

All great artists transcend eras and generations, classes and attitudes, mores and social restrictions. And in their master-works lie universal, eternal human truths that resonate through days, over decades, and across centuries - striking powerful, emotional chords in our hearts, souls, and lives. In Applying the Wisdom of the Ages, you'll join Dr. Wayne Dyer and travel with him across time on an enchanting and illuminating search for explanations to the most meaningful questions and important concerns we encounter throughout the course of our lives. The literary voices he illuminates in this remarkable program come from seemingly unrelated and disparate eras, cultures, and backgrounds. But there's one powerful thread which binds them together: they all made one powerful choice - the choice that caused the work and passion of their lives to leave an imprint on world literature and human civilization - they lived each day as an expression of the music, the greatness, that lived within each of them. In Applying the Wisdom of the Ages, you'll learn how to:

  • Discover the true meaning of love.
  • Find permanent sources of inspiration in your life.
  • Tap into the dormant forces that allow you to accomplish anything you can dream.
  • Understand loss, suffering, and death, and recognize grief as a blessing.
  • Live fully and joyously in the present moment.
  • Meditate with purpose and power, as a gateway to your inner self.
  • Shed the chains of the past and worries for the future that keep you from living in the present.
  • See the thread that weaves through time to connect us all and allow the implications of that connection to impact your life.

When you connect your life to the profound writings of eras past, you'll receive an endless stream on insight, information and wisdom. In these timeless words, you'll recognize your own hardships, triumphs, joys and sorrows.

Love listening to Wayne Dyer

His ability to tell a story speaks to me. I love that he narrates his own books.

Love everything about it

I have only been disappointed with a couple of his books and only because the info was the same as a couple other of his books, this book was awesome. I loved it. He has a pece in his voice that I have been unable to find in other authors.

Deceiving

This is not an audio of the book. It is a recording of a talk he did about the content of the book. Nothing says that in the bio except a single word "speech".

Early Wayne on the path to greater books

I really did enjoy this book and any fan of Wayne will still enjoy and get something new from this. I just feel that the ideas in this book are done much better and feel more complete in 'Applying the 10 secrets for success and inner peace'. That book is in my opinion Wayne's finest moment along with 'Making the shift'. My favourite section in this particular audiobook however is on leadership and I did enjoy it as a whole. It just feels a little incomplete to me compared with slightly later works. I'm a massive fan and have nearly all Wayne's books and have yet to listen to one I didn't enjoy.
