Bylo jí tehdy dvacet let, byla krásná, nezadaná, byť platonicky zamilovaná, ale hlavně: byla dcerou jednoho z vůdců protikarlovské opozice, jak by se dnes dalo říct. Aby se Karel IV. udržel na trůně, vybral si za ženu, po smrti své první milované ženy Blanky z Valois, právě Annu Falckou. Opravdu se mu tím podařilo hlasy svých nejhlasitějších odpůrců umlčet a ještě rozšířit své území. Ale co Anna? Jaký bude její další, bohužel nedlouhý, život po králově boku?
