Unhappy with it

Wanted a book about anger management but all it seems to talk about is Christianity and religion. Not a fan. Loved Gary Chapmans other books they mentioned religion a little but this one is non stop

Disappointing

I read in reviews that this book had religious themes but that the main message was worthwhile so I purchased it. However it constantly quoted bible verses and I had to turn it off. The narrator was pleasant to listen to.

Pray the anger away essentially

Felt like the description was not very good. This book is mostly on how anger should be addressed through the Christian faith.

I HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone!

This book is perfect! I am so thankful I purchased this book! Both I and my husband have benefited greatly from reading this (as individuals and in our marriage)! Whether you have a lot of issues with anger or very few, this book will help you! I'm going to be recommending this book to everyone I know! It touched some sore spots but they were spots that desperately needed to be poked a little! There are a ton of great "steps to take when..", which I really appreciated and have copied and hung on our refrigerator. Everything in the book is backed up by Bible verses and Biblical examples which really meant a lot to me. I honestly didn't want this book to end, I wanted more! I truly believe every person on this Earth should read through this book

God and Anger

I struggle with anger. This read has given me a much different perspective. I am looking forward to the second read (I need at least 3 reads before I am able to understand a full book). Some parts are confusing because of my beliefs, however, once I meditated and became more open-minded I enjoyed this very much.

Wealth of information

There is a wealth of information in this book. She had multiple stumbles while reading which was hard to follow. I will have to listen again when not working to fully grasp each technique so I can apply them.

A good practical approach

A very good practical approach to handling anger. It is not easy to work through some of life's issues but it is worth doing for the outcome.

Christian based, not a very good narrator.

If you're Christian then you may connect with this book more than I did. Lots of 'scriptures'. I love 'The Five Love Languages' but this book wasn't great. Very repetitive in case studies. From chapter 6, narrator fell over words a few times and recording wasn't corrected. Pronunciation of some words (had, asked & especially) was incorrect which was the straw that broke the camels back, couldn't continue it after chapter 7. Do audiobooks get proof-listened?! Requested refund.

Religion based trash put me right off

Within the first 10 minutes I heard "Christian" over half a dozen times. Emotion has nothing to do with what religion you decide to follow if any. I was looking for a book on self help, not preaching.

Two Types

A very informative read that allows for greater understanding and productive handling of the emotion.
