overall, the idea of crossing the concepts or The Phantom of the Opera with Charlie's Angels would seem like an absurd idea, but surprisingly enough the author managed to do it quite believably.

There are some points that do fall a little flat and when the attention is trying to bounce back and forth between multiple characters at once that you're still trying to become familiar with, you can get a little lost; but the overall result was still very satisfying.

The narrator does her best to delineate the differences in different characters through various accents (some great, some admittedly not so great), but it does add to the overall effect of engaging storytelling.

if you're just looking for some absurdist fun with some rather well written action and mystery stories worthy of pulp adventure fiction, give it a once over
