Richard Brockwell, the younger son of Ivy Hill's most prominent family, hasn't been home for Christmas in years. He prefers to live in the London townhouse, far away from Brockwell Court, the old family secret that haunts him, and the shadows of his past mistakes. I enjoyed storyline as it was set in a time where I feel the author presented the status, quo. I have read many of the sources books. My only comment is the narrator was a woman doing a man’s job, and it was a bit confusing otherwise I enjoyed.

Even though you could read this book as a stand alone. It is a fitting end to a very good series.
I really enjoyed the tying up of loose ends as well as the extra stories. Especially about the little orphan Jamie.
I do love Christmas and hearing of all the old English traditions was a bonus.
Well worth a listen especially as Elizabeth Jasicki is such an excellent reader

This was a nice ending to the four books about Ivy Hill. Really enjoyed Klassen’s writing style and feel immersed into the village and characters through her writing.
