About this listen

Shenshee continues to learn of and fulfill the duties of the Keeper of the Portals. The town of Penelton is under attack. Beginning with vandalism. It escalates when Ellerad’s store is robbed, and he is beaten badly. The authorities are slow at curtailing the gang that is terrorizing the town. The attacks spiral when they murder a citizen and then kidnap three children. Shen works to rid the town of demons and tries to sort out what is happening around her.

Overwhelmed by the violence surrounding those she cares about she learns the queen is being attacked by a possessed advisor and rushes to rescue her. Is this the work of the demon she thought she had destroyed? In her desperation to regain control she, with the help of her friends, form an army to bring peace to the once quiet village.
