Eigentlich wollte Alexandra gemeinsam mit ihrem Freund Thomas aufs Land ziehen. Doch der will auf einmal gar nichts mehr davon wissen. So sitzt sie denn auf einmal ganz allein in einer ziemlich verlassenen Gegend. Sie hat kein Geld und keinen Job, aber ein altes Haus an der Backe. Das will sie so schnell wie möglich loswerden. Aber das ist viel einfacher gedacht als getan. Außerdem kreuzen dann noch der Bauer Arthur, Kater Jack und ein ziemlich charismatischer Schriftsteller ihren Weg. Und dann wird die Sache erst richtig kompliziert.
