About this listen

The Covenant mission is the most ambitious endeavor in the history of Weyland-Yutani. A ship bound for Origae-6, carrying 2,000 colonists beyond the limits of known space, this is a make-or-break investment for the corporation - and for the future of all mankind.

Yet there are those who would die to stop the mission. As the colony ship hovers in Earth orbit, several violent events reveal a deadly conspiracy to sabotage the launch. While Captain Jacob Branson and his wife, Daniels, complete their preparations, security chief Daniel Lope recruits the final key member of his team. Together they seek to stop the perpetrators before the ship and its passengers can be destroyed.

An original novel by the acclaimed Alan Dean Foster, author of the groundbreaking Alien novelization Alien: Covenant Origins, is the official chronicle of the events that led up to Alien: Covenant. It also reveals the world the colonists left behind.

Easy listen. Seemed a little closer to a short story, with little real movement... the nature of a prequel i guess

Good, if a little short

I found parts of this hard to get through but I think it’s worth it if you are an "Alien" fan

Was ok

having read nearly every other alien and predator audio books and watched all the movies etc this was great to fill in earth's background and add some depth to covenants cast.

worth a read , for back story.

Tom's performance gives this story and its characters a level of sophistication and charm. That said it feels too much like a separate entity from the rest of the alien franchise. Understandably being a prequel to the events of first encounters little more is to expected.

Interesting at times, but overall fairly average

thoroughly enjoyable

Hmmm..... A fanatical organisation with unlimited resources goes up against the human race, exploding goats and chickens, people hiding inside horses... Just one question; did this all happen before, after or during the time Austin Powers lost his mojo?

Yeah baby!

The writing is fine and the characters believable. however religious visions of the aliens smacks more of fan fiction and if canonical; a part of the mythology that lessens the whole.

a story best untold

The story told here, whilst clearly defined, does not necessarily add anything of value to the film of Covenant. It does build the background of major characters seen in the film, but aside from attempting to create some action around the pre departure phase of the Covenant mission, it does not add a great deal.

ok story, does not really add anything to the film
