tldr: it's very hard to get through but in my opinion worth it.

the whole structure of the story leads some janky and jarring moments by virtue of the whole premise of what's being told but the end result is a vast and fascinating story told over at least several hundred years almost exclusively from a single broken point of view that is also whilst singular not that singular personality it's self fragments and splits weaving a really fascinating story that must have sucked to write and I'd love to see a second saga covering another half a milenium.
