After reading Nora Roberts post apocalyptic series I was looking forward to this. I have always found Linda Howard just as imaginative despite lacking 'magic'. Not knowing how much each author contributed makes it hard to comment more specifically other than to say that it wasn't overly suspenseful but still entertaining and the romance was exactly as expected. I would have been happier knowing a sequel was on it's way.

Great read! Deserved to be part of a trilogy.
