Publisher's Summary

Jeane Smith is 17 and has turned her self-styled dorkiness into an art form. But despite having hundreds of Internet friends and a cool boyfriend, she feels inexplicably lonely. Things get worse when Michael Lee, the most popular boy at school, suspects that Jeane's boyfriend is secretly seeing his girlfriend. Michael and Jeane have NOTHING in common. So why can't she stop talking to him?

Adorkable is adorable

Great narration and story line. Couldn't stop listening. A couple of laugh out loud moments.

Good fun but..

Generally enjoyable but sags a bit in the middle. I wanted to know how the end would be formed; I just wanted the pace to pick up a bit.

Annoying

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

replacing Penelope Rawlins with... well... anyone!

What will your next listen be?

The Yorkshire Pudding Club

Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Daniel Coonan and Penelope Rawlins ?

Daniel Coonan was fine but Penelope Rawlins made the male lead sound petulant all the time.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

disappointment and annoyance

Any additional comments?

Adult authors appropriating teen language is fine, but overuse just highlights the fact that you don't realise what teenagers are really like - if I heard "totes" one more time I thought I would scream... doesn't she realise that half the time kids are just being ironic?
