Book flew! I still think some of the ideas were a bit old fashioned but I will take the suggestions on board and see where it takes me.

Enjoyed it and laughed along the way.

It is a storytelling piece where Steve is sharing wisdom (with lots of laughs). One of the books I can listen to times and times repeatedly.

For the most part I enjoyed this audiobook, however, I was endlessly bored and disgruntled by the frequent reference to the importance of God. For us atheist listers (who also manage to have good morals and values, thank you very much) the inclusion of God in a relationship is redundant and in all honesty would be a great detriment to a potential relationship. The book fails to acknowledge that there are plenty of genuine catches that don’t believe in God, and that it is better to find someone with a similar belief system to yours than to blindly look for someone that worships God, when you wholeheartedly don’t believe in such things and can’t understand those that do.

To much emphasis on God

If you’re a confused modern day feminist with degrees, drive and fire, you might find some of this hard to swallow. It is honest, straight-up and gets to the core of masculine/feminine energies. As someone whose dad died when I was young, I was never told this stuff. I have already botched one marriage and I am sitting here now thinking maybe all this feminist drive wasn’t helping. Steve tells it like it is - if you want the protector/provider then you’re going to have to get out of your man boots and actually be a woman. It’s hard to reconcile in parts but I loved it and I can only give it a try since wearing the pants definitely did NOT work
