About this listen

Bestselling authors Bruno and Castle conclude the Black Badge series with this culmination of supernatural powers and old foes in an epic finale stretching from the Wild West to the nation’s capital!

On the run and out of time …

Everything changed back in Crescent City when Crowley made his choice to stand up to his angelic handler Shargrafein. It was either her or Rosa, and the choice was clear. Now, there’s no going back.

Something about Rosa has everyone scrambling—a hidden power. It’s up to Crowley to bring her back to the land of the living and discover exactly what she is. Only then might they have a chance against the forces of Heaven and Hell, both of whom want her for their own devices.

So what if that makes him a traitor to the White Throne? They kept the truth about her from him. Made him a pawn in their endless war.

But those above and below aren’t the only ones after Crowley and Rosa. An old rival has resurfaced and he’s out for vengeance, no matter what it takes.

If they hope to evade capture, Crowley will need to trust old friends and allies. And trust doesn’t come easy to a man shot to death by his own boss.

This was bad. A finale is supposed to leave you satisfied and happy with the investment of emotions time and resources you put in. This did not leave me with any of that. I only have disappointment and a fair level of sadness. The worst part about this book is that if it was a continuation of the series, it would be a very good book leaving many open endings and a great final challenge for the characters to overcome but it doesn’t do that. instead it undos much of what was great about the series and gives zero resolution or happy endings to characters that I have grown very attached to. This book series would have been one of my favourites of all time but the great writing, tension and plot is all undone by an ending that feels like the writers just wanted to throw off this series and move onto another project. My only words to the authors is that I hope you just change your mind and decide to make one final book to turn this into a good series and understand the mistakes that you have made and move forward. Because as I said if this book was a continuation, it would be five stars with great voice acting and a solid plot tension all the way through. But at the end of the day if this is an ending this is a zero stars as far as endings go. My only sadness is I can’t go into too much depth as I don’t want to ruin the book for other people but I imagine they were a great many people that agree with me in this. And for those people all I can say to you is please also write reviews or message the authors or so on so forth so that hopefully they can change their minds and give us the ending that we have hoped and worked for. as a sidenote of course the voice acting was amazing that it has been through the series

This was a game of thrones level ending
