Mai 1866 geht Unter den Linden nahe der russischen Botschaft der 22-jährige Student Ferdinand Cohen-Blind aus Tübingen dem preußischen Ministerpräsidenten Graf Otto von Bismarck hinterher, zieht seinen Revolver und drückt mehrmals ab. Bismarck überlebt das Attentat nahezu unverletzt und kann seinen Widersacher sogar stellen. Cohen-Blind ist nicht der Einzige, der es auf den Ministerpräsidenten abgesehen hat. Denn sein hartnäckigster Widersacher erwartet ihn bereits.
Heiger Ostertag wurde 1953 in Deutschland geboren. Nach dem Schulabschluss absolvierte er die Offiziersausbildung in der Bundeswehr, anschließend studierte er Skandinavistik, Germanistik und Geschichte. Heute ist er als Lehrer und Autor tätig, bisher sind siebzehn Romane von Heiger Ostertag erschienen.
