Publisher's Summary

In this audiobook, that is narrated by a One Voice Awards nominee, insights in three key areas are covered:

  1. How to get organized with ADHD
  2. Managing relationships with ADHD
  3. ADHD and women

These areas have been covered as they are underrepresented in print, digital, and audio material.

The topics in the book cover the signs and symptoms of adult ADHD, along with how these can be effectively managed through a combination of knowledge and practice. Please bear in mind that this is not written from a diagnostic point of view, and I always encourage you to follow and seek the advice of a clinical professional for a diagnosis of adult ADHD and on the best method of treatment.

This book covers the secondary literature and provides interesting analyses on some of the ways in which it can affect our organizational capabilities and our ability to form and keep relationships. We also discuss the rarely covered issue of ADHD and gender: that is, to what extent and in way ways does adult ADHD affect women.

We would love to hear from you so please share your thoughts via the reviews - and we would be most appreciative of any feedback!

With love, Suzanne.

Clearly not written by someone with ADHD

As an adult living with ADHD, I found this book very misinformed, stereotypical and paints a picture of a person with ADHD as this out of control difficult person. ADHD can manifest itself in different ways and does not have the same effects on everyone. Some "practical" suggestions in the book made me literally laugh out loud ie. "when you are performing a task, do not switch tasks until you have finished the current task"....hahah oh well if I could begin to understand how I even switch tasks, understand that I am doing it, be able to consciously notice and assess the cues -or- have any control over it AT ALL, this might be possible. Very silly book.

mind blowing

The book had me down to a T! I did not even know some of the characteristics that I demonstrate as being part of add and yet there it was! I feel vindicated, like someone really understood my life and all that I've had to do to adapt. lots of useful tips on how to do it better too. especially the part about relationships. thank you Susan Byrd.
