I have listened to this book 4 times already and will keep coming back to it. I have successfully got onto OMAD and steadily losing weight. not easy to do when you are menopausal and hypothyroid. this book is life changing., do yourself a favour and read it

Concise and so helpful

Need information on intermittent fasting? Get it here. Start here and move on. Need hand holding? Look up Gin Stephens and Delay, Don't Deny. Everything you need to know to prepare is here, but the hand holding is elsewhere.

Boring narrator

The content of the book is brilliant, but it would be much better if you record it again with a professional narrator, or someone who keeps it entertaining, like Gin Stephens, author of Delay Don’t Deny. I almost fell asleep while driving and listening to this audiobook, literally.

good info, but...

Struggled with finishing this book. The information was informative, but the person reading the book would always put me to sleep. They should have went with someone who has more character in their voice.

Trying to get this information in my head, but...

Trying to understand this content but the narrator is a pretty strong deterrent. Sometimes, she sounds so disinterested in what she is reading, I'm afraid she is going to fall asleep. I can endure the sound quality- sounds like she is talking into a phone, but it sounds like the narrator isn't even trying to sound interesting. I wish Dr. Herring would have this book redone with a new narrator.

Great book

This is a very good book. My rating has to do with the fact that I was already familiar with the content so some of the parts were very basic to me. This is a very good starting book for someone unaware of the topic.

I wouldn't recommend the audio version

content was good, hard to listen to the narrator sounded like a robot, would probably recommend the book and not the audio version

Bad audio

The person that narrated this book is terrible. if the content wasn't interesting to me I would have stopped listening in the first few min.

Not great.

I have seen Bert and Judi Herring on many YouTube videos and she is much more animated than she was during her flat narration of this book. I wanted more information and science on how we can/do reset our appetites and was quite disappointed. However, from my personal experience following a plan such as his Fast 5 Diet/Lifestyle can totally normalize one's response to food so thumbs up for the Herrings but I cannot recommend this particular book.

Ok for basic info

I was not impressed with this. If you are doing or interested in IF, it’s some basic info, but it’s one of those books that is really not more than a few pages of good info stretched out by lots of nothing (use a smaller plate so you aren’t tempted to pile on as much food). The TOC lists a bunch of tools, but they didn’t seem that practical. Just informative-ish. Narration was tedious.

Hard going

Although I understand that the narrator was probably trying to be clear and consistent I found her really hard to listen to. Initially I was actually convinced that it was a computer generated voice. There were a few moments where she became more animated and it was a joy! Due to the narration I found the book really hard going and I’m not sure that I was able to get much out of it. I will re listen to some key chapters to try and get a proper grasp...but not today!
