About this listen

This book is for spiritual seekers, who will find the Tarot a new and beneficial tool to unlock the mysteries of the universe, as well as for lovers of divination, who seek to unlock the full meanings of the cards. In it, Rachel Pollack uses symbols and myths to illuminate the hidden mysteries and spiritual truths of the Tarot. She takes listeners on magical journeys through the Tarot, through the lens of mythology, folklore, Kabbalah, Joseph Campbell-style mythography, and more. Listeners interested in esoteric spirituality and history, as well as art and divination, will find much food for thought, as well as entertainment. This book, which was previously published in 2002 under the title Forest of Souls: A Walk Through the Tarot, is suitable for Tarot masters, but because of the author’s engaging, lively style, it’s accessible to newcomers too.

This book is a dense, thought-provoking, wondrous exploration of myth, esotericism, the occult and arcane knowledge all woven together to enrich our understanding of the Tarot. I will need to listen many times to take in even a fraction of all this book contains. A wonderful, illuminating book. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to deepen their Tarot practice.

Rachel Pollack is brilliant!
