About this listen

The fourth Major Rodney Brown Spymaster Story. The Major is recalled to duty by Brigadier Robinson after Rodney's physical injuries have healed. Reluctantly mentally unready, once again the Major gives his all to take down an invidious disruptive fraud spanning key national interests in construction, defence, and the health service. Failure would mean that the Prime Minister and her government would almost certainly fall. Out of his comfort zone Major Rodney Brown and his team find a way through a morass of government departments and businesses being defrauded by a KGB scheme instigated by his nemesis General Tysgankov to weaken the economic base of the country.

A mandarin in the treasury leads the fraud, supported by KGB thugs he runs roughshod though the economy ripping millions out of the country. As Rodney's team begin to roll the frauds Colonel Pushkin KGB takes up a vendetta against Rodney. The Colonel wants vengeance never more so when Rodney discovers that the fraud model has been exported to the USA and other European neighbours. A crunching climax to the story which is Pushkin's last chance to assassinate Rodney.
