I feel like I started the story in the middle of the book! The narrative is excellent, but for some reason I'm still not sure of the back story of our fmc.

Performances are great; not one voice is jarring (to me), thankfully. Lennox’s vocal is like liquid sex in my headphones lol. The plot is pretty strong. I hope it continues in the same vein for books 2 & 3. It’s got the goodies- a protagonist that you can empathise with, aggravating sex feelings that aren’t acted on (with one sex scene), deception and action.

I’m So Disappointed at the cliff hanger ending though. At the time of writing (27.03.25), the second book isn’t available and it abruptly cuts off- at what feels like- midway through a crucial scene. It’s annoying. Truly, I think it should have ended after this night in the book.

I love BM Clemton as an author and didnt even read the prologue for this book i went in completely blind and loved every moment of it! The ending i did not see coming at all it blew my mind in the best way possible and I am hooked on this series like an addict. Not to forget the honourable mention of how delicious the audio for this is! The voice actors are amazing!
