About this listen

The world ended.

A zombie apocalypse broke out.

The main character is already dead.

By the author of The Blue Mage Raised by Dragons and The Godking's Legacy. Please note that this is not a comedic story.

Content warning: Profanity, cannibalism (Is it still cannibalism if it's a zombie eating a human?), gore (Just a little, it comes with the cannibalism).

I like it. The rational zombie tells a story about you guessed it, a zombie with a functional brain. The whole story is going through the motions of the zombie apocalypse and it was kind of dull seeing a zombie rediscovering everything but it can’t be helped because we’re starting at the beginning.

Not until the end did I get super excited to see what came next. Our rational zombie drove into a corner and fighting for constant survival became more than just a smart zombie and that’s what I was looking for in this entire book. Too bad it came to an end.

Overall, I think it’s a slow start to a huge journey for the rational zombie. I say huge because there are still so many questions to be answered. Why is it rational, how do you cure something technically incurable?
Was the cure actually a cure or did it only prevent it temporarily? So much potential to touch upon. I look forward to the sequel!

Different, dull and exciting
