This is an excellent series with good characters, setting and great reader.

The plots are always good. This one is no exception. i liked it slightly less that the previous ones only because of the introduction of mean and stupid bosses. This does introduce some drama, admittedly, but i prefer to see good cops like Alec McKay getting on with solving the crime rather than being sabotaged by idiots. In reality he'd be a great person to work with so it never quite rings true when people moan about him.

Unfortunately in chapter 50 there are multiple recordings attempting to play at once for several minutes. It happens at a crucial spot too and you cant hear the correct recording over top of the others which is disappointing.
