About this listen

THE INSTANT SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER

'Moving, outrageous and outrageously funny' Dawn French

When a toxic hospital consultant dies of a heart attack, fellow doctor Eitan Rose smells foul play. Nobody else does though, including some quite crucial players like the police and the coroner.

But Eitan just won't let it drop, and his friends and colleagues become increasingly concerned about his mental health as his chaotic investigation and equally chaotic life spiral out of control. Is he making a career-ending mistake, or could there genuinely be a killer stalking the wards?

A deathly funny mix of mystery, murder and medicine, A PARTICULARLY NASTY CASE is the brilliantly original debut novel from Adam Kay, BAFTA-winning author of multi-million global bestseller THIS IS GOING TO HURT.©2025 Adam Kay (P)2025 Orion Publishing Group Limited

The narrator did a perfect job of telling this story. A great & very funny read.

A great comedy - so witty

Laugh out loud at times and lots of fun. A little silly at times but gets the reader there and keeps them guessing.

A fun read that doesn’t take itself too seriously

Rarely have I listened to such a genuinely funny story. The plot is clever and well thought out, and the situations the main character finds himself in are absolutely hilarious. The storyline zigzags with unexpected twists that keep it fresh and entertaining. What really elevates it, though, is the outstanding narration—each line is delivered with perfect timing and dry humour. I laughed out loud more times than I can count. This would make an excellent comedy film

Possibly the funniest book I have waver listened too

Ehat stood out for me was not the story but the setting, being inside someone's head with a mental illness and gay. Wow.. wasn't really up for all that.

Surprising
