Publisher's Summary
After a devastating rejection years ago, Bailey Evans has given up on finding love. Instead, he pours his energy into running the frontier town’s Hardware and Tinware Shop with his best friend, Jacob. But when Jacob is brutally killed in a robbery, his final whispered words seem to gesture toward a future Bailey didn’t think possible....
Kathryn Sandridge has been discriminated against her whole life. Despite growing up in a loving home in Boston, she worries that her physical appearance - one brown and one blue eye - is too off-putting to attract a suitor. Thinking she might have a better chance out west, she responds to a Mail Order Bride advert for a gentleman in Rough Creek, Missouri. But by the time she reaches Missouri, the man she is to marry has been murdered, leaving behind his twins. And the outlaws in this rough Midwestern town would do anything to put her in the ground alongside him.
It will take all Kathryn’s determination and cunning to carve out a life for herself in this lonely outpost - and the persistence of a young man who is committed to protecting and taking care of both her and the twins he inherited.

Short but sweet
The book runs on the short side. Yet it was a sweet romance. I finished it in one day. I got this book through a contributor and this is my honest and voluntary review.

A New Mother for the Twins
This is a suspenseful story. I truly felt for Kathryn - *spoiler alert* she has always been treated differently and thought of as a witch or of the devil because she has two different eye colors.
It got so bad that she wrote to Bailey - to become a mail order bride. He has twins - and she is on the way to him - but he dies before she gets there.
At the end, everything works out for the best.
