Good follow up

I enjoy all of Edward's books, The Magpies was a really good book. This short sequel was entertaining but too short! I'm looking forward to the final book.

Ready For Part 3!!!!

Mr. Edwards is such a talented writer! I can't really write much of a critique because I don't want to write spoilers. But he asked if the readers want a 3rd & final Magpie book. Yes, please!!!! Kudos Mr. Edwards!!!!

enthralling

I read The Magpies and A Murder of. Magpies in sequence in 1 day. The author hinted at a third novel and wrap up the story based on his readers response. I am voting yes. Both of these books have the same characters which are thoroughly engaging. Personally I did not like the protagonist. He is the type of man I wouldn't even have as a friend. He is in my opinion a wimpy, weak, lovestruck, nerd and a sorry excuse for a man. These traits made him a great protagonist in that initially I thought he would be killed off because he was a nobody. Many surprises in this story and a great read! I highly recommend it

Another great book by Mark Edwards. Come on Mark you have to write a 3rd book about the lunatic Lucy. Highly recommended

LOVED IT!

Mark, PLEASE PLEASE give us the final conclusion!! The cliffhanger ending is killing me! 😵
We have to know if Jamie will get his revenge, and if he & K manage to patch things up!!

He still hasn't changed

My first thought on reading this, was I was so excited to do so. I couldn't wait for it to come out, I actually had high hopes for an outcome I really thought was certain, can't say, as don't do spoilers, but once I was finished, in one because it's so short, I was angry all over again. Jamie's conduct... Just, wow. Even after everything he went through, he didn't change. Without trying to give away anything, don't read this if you had hopes for Jamie's redemption, in my opinion. The plot was good, I like what happened, but Jamie just gets on my nerves. Sure, if there's a 3rd etc, book, I'll read it of course, but it'll take a lot for my view of Jamie to warm. Well done Mark, another good one. I also liked the fact Hill was also able to read this one. Really made it feel like the continuation it is. Another narrator would've ruined that for me.

Dire!

A step too far, by a usually brilliant author. Oh God let it please be over.
