Publisher's Summary

Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.

In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?

In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.

In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.

In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.

Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

I feel like I know all about the many countries and regions and people that were invented by the Author. I started listening November 2020 and finally finished today 27th , August 2021.

A Fantastic Ending to A Fantastic Series

Brandon Sanderson and Robert Jordan weaved the threads of the pattern into an extremely satisfying ending to an amazing series. I feel sad to finish it because all of the characters feel like old friends, but I am glad that their stories were wrapped up so perfectly. This is a must read (or listen, or both).

A beautiful finale to an incredible series

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the 20th Century by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a thought arose in the mind of Robert Jordan. The thought was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was A beginning..

What the great mind of Robert Jordan started and sadly did not get to see finished, Brandon Sanderson allows us all to experience the finale to the series that I believe Jordan would be proud to read. The authors take all of the threads of the characters woven into the story and bring them all in to a conclusion of epic proportions.

Michael Kramer and Kate Reading also put in a stellar performance. Their narration throughout the entire series is both enjoyable to listen to and engaging. They give voice and life to many a beloved character, with some highly emotionally charged scenes throughout the book masterfully depicted.

And thus while this particular turning of the wheel has come to an end, there are no endings to the Wheel of Time. Robert Jordan, Harriet McDougal, Brandon Sanderson, Michael Kramer and Kate Reading; thank you for giving us all one of the greatest stories that have ever been told.
Robert Jordan, the Light shine in you, and the Creator shelter you. The last embrace of the mother welcome you home.

Great ending!

What an epic conclusion, I'm happy to say it left a smile on my face, unlike many authors these days who seem to think people want an unhappy, unfair and miserable ending, not mentioning any particular stories... like Game of Thrones. I rate the story 5 but take some points off for the narration. For some reason many of the characters accents had changed by this book, like Elayne for example. Perhaps the goal was to make them sound more mature or something, but it failed and was just really annoying and put me off. The narrators were good for the time I guess, and after 14 books you definitely grow accustomed to them, but after hearing great narrators like Tim Gerard Reynolds, Christian Rodska, Rupert Degas or Simon Vance, they just don't compete. I can't wait for Rosamund Pike's version, I'll probably listen to the series all over again, she has the perfect voice for narrating... if only members who own the books already receive a huge discount, wink wink, nudge nudge Audible ;)
