I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook, as it fits perfectly within a genre I already love. The storyline is fast‑paced, engaging, and consistently intriguing, keeping me hooked from start to finish. The main character’s dry sense of humour really stood out, especially in his interactions with both friends and enemies, which added depth and personality to the story.

The plot is well developed and clearly written, making it easy to follow while still feeling layered and compelling. A special mention goes to the narrator, who did an excellent job bringing the characters to life in a believable and immersive way.

I’m very much looking forward to listening to the next instalment in the series.
