Felix and Lane are trying out their new normal. Normal means no more car chases, no more drug lords, and definitely no more kidnapping bad guys. All of that is a thing of the past in this new, normal(ish) life style filled with family get-togethers, torturous jogs through the park, and the occasional romp in the parking lot. Felix is done stealing (all but for the cat). He is actually enjoying the boring side of life, especially with Lane by his side doing what he does best: looking handsome. But when Felix's brother wants to repair their relationship, he brings with him a secret that could cost all of them their lives.

Lane isn't complaining because the thrills of life-threatening situations are right up his alley. Felix, irreverent petty thief, and Lane, newly blind undercover cop, cops with family and a crazed psychopath. Parts of the story were very funny and parts were very scary, I was amazed to feel both emotions so strongly! I love the banter between Felix and Lane and really enjoyed the roller coaster ride.

A light in the darkness by Alice winters. Felix and Lain are a great couple even though they have set backs in there life but always look out for each other. They care about the people they love and try to help where they can but don't always work out the right way. Cannot wait for the next book

I love books that can make me laugh out loud. Mission accomplished! So entertaining and such interesting fun characters. I wish there were more books like this. I am a bit sick of the same old vapid pathetic stories. I loved the combination of comedy, action and romance. The narration was so easy to listen to, I could see these characters so clearly. Thank you. I hope these two get to carry on with more entertaining adventures.

Definitely not what I expected after the 1st book. It was very entertaining! Fun, loving, and scary as can be at times! Really enjoyed the characters banter as friends, lovers and much more.. hoping their adventures will continue in a new book? Fingers crossed!

the snark, the comebacks, the tease, a brilliant.mystery, family drama, plot twists, and Joel Leslie's brilliant narration combine to make this book by Alice Winters a joy to listen to highly recommend

Lane and Felix and Lane's family are such great characters, I found myself chuckling and giggling all throughout the book.
Love Felix sense of humour.
But the story itself sounded more like an episode filler. Can't help bit asked why was it even created.
Altogether I enjoyed listening to Lane's and Felix, catching up to some of the other characters from the first book and getting to know Lane's family.

Oh I didn't expect that!
funny, fast, and extremely scary. The hilarious incident of babysitting had me laughing so hard. then although handled with a light touch the story became such a thriller I had to keep listening just to find out what happened next
