This book has been on my TBR for a while and now I am wondering why I didn't get to it sooner. It hooked me in really fast and I devoured every word. I like the characters and I'm interested to see how this plays out. Very enjoyable read.

Wish there was a little more lore for the world, a little less pining. Some of the scenes felt rushed, like the writer had planned some big plot points then not executed them.

Loved the narration .. top notch throughout! I really enjoyed the developing characters and storyline. Keen to see where the story leads in Book 2!

Ok, this book is ridiculous… but I couldn’t stop reading it! This was recommended based on other books I’ve read, like ACOTAR, One dark window, TOG, etc… so I thought I was going for a great fantasy story line, but this is not one of them…
The performances of the narrators is great though! If you’re looking for an easy read where you don’t have to concentrate and some shameless spice it’s ok. But just lower your expectations if you’re going for epic fantasy… this is not it.
But quite entertaining nonetheless!

Honestly, I enjoyed this for what it is. A light flakey entertaining book. Exactly what I felt like. It covered ALL, and I mean all the romantasy tropes, i.e., single bed, single horse, touch her and you die, etc. Yep, and i will move on to the next book right away

I’ve not left a review before, but feel that this one needs something.

While this story has potential to be great, it needed to be 3x longer to draw out the story. It’s far too fast paced, they’re enemies one moment and then ten minutes later it’s hot and heavy with deep longing - but for no logical reason.

There was no character development, minimal world building, and just no substance. It felt like the whole story was rushed just to get from one intimate scene to the next. But I don’t understand what cause the longing between the two characters? No. Substance.

However, the duet narration was brilliant! I will be keeping an eye out for other books narrated by these voice actors.
