Publisher's Summary

Change is not Jenny Quinn's strong suit, but she's happy enough with her easy-going life, friends, and job as a TV production assistant. That is until a company shake-up foists the infuriating Olivia Sinclair on her. The woman is uptight, snobby, and has some perfect and famous motor-racing husband.

TV and theater producer Olivia moved to New York from the UK to marry her longtime friend. It's a sham marriage, a favor to a man she loves as a brother, but the strain is beginning to take its toll. How can she even meet women when she's the picture of heterosexual bliss? Add in her stressful new job, an irritating colleague called Jenny, who thinks being goofy is some kind of admirable work ethic, and life can be a grind some days. The worst part isn't the office politics or clashing personalities, but the fact there's an attraction between both women that's gradually becoming impossible to ignore.

So...should they stop ignoring it? That would mean learning to trust your heart that this is the right woman. And that's a huge step.

Contains mature themes.

Just My Preference

I really like this narrator. Anastasia could read a manual of some sort I would enjoy it. The book itself maybe needn't be so long. The characters could of been better. The narrator made everything better for me

Meh

I did not finish, got through 4.5 hours of nothing. Just a bunch of whiney confusing dialog.

Lovely story relearning trust oneself and others

This story is a delightfully romance that starts out so rocky. Office politics are the angst that is the under current for mistrust. Jenny and Olivia meet in the worst way. Their attraction is palpable but fighting for a job leaves everyone cautious. The characters have much to overcome just to be open about how they feel. The twists are a good part of the story. I must say that I was mesmorized by Anastasia Watly, her very dulcet tones and subtle character nueonces made this a glorious listen. I could listen to her all day, so beautiful. So add this to your next listen, a wonderful story you will enjoy.

Narrator saved it

This sorry was unnecessarily long. It could’ve been shorter. And the very tame sex scene didn’t occur until the last 45 minutes. The office drama took up so much of the story that I forgot it was supposed to be a romance novel. But it was still very sweet and in a way empowering. The narrator choice was great because otherwise, I probably would’ve stopped listening earlier on. Anastasia has that sweet voice that is perfect for lesfic.

Boring

I made it to chapter 9 before bailing. Too slow and I don’t like any of the characters.

A work romance

This is a book by an author and narrator I have never listened to before, so I was excited to listen to someone new. I really enjoyed this book it was well written, and the narrator did an excellent job and she made the book for me.

It’s a slow burn romance, as they start as work colleagues who don’t like each other, then a friendship forms, which then blossoms into a romance. I would have liked more of them dating and getting to know each other more throughout the book e.g. dates.

I will be listening to more from this author and narrator.
