About this listen

This book, written by Yuchi Yang, a registered dietitian for over 20 years, will provide you with six simple steps to lowering your blood pressure:

Step one: Drink enough liquids. Step two: Attain a good sodium-to-potassium ratio. Step three: Get an adequate amount of calcium. Step four: Eat high magnesium foods. Step five: Consume a balance of good fats in moderation. Step six: Limit the amount of added sugar.

Each step starts with some facts and ends with a tool that you can use to track your progress. In addition, this book provides answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. For example:

  • How about salt substitutes?
  • How about magnesium supplements?
  • What is a good ratio of different fats?

The narrator of this book sounded like young child, very hard to listen to. The book has a lot of tables of data of nutritional content of foods. This does not work as an audio book. I got about half an hour in and couldn't listen anymore.
