About this listen

We assume extinction level events are cataclysmic events, but what if they were microscopic, like our history teaches us?

To the rest of the world, a random tsunami is but one disaster among other events to speculate over. Unbeknownst to most of the world, the disaster is but a single ripple caused by a clandestine experiment in the South Pacific. For one newly arranged rescue team, their mission to rescue researchers will lead them to confront terrors mankind was never intended to meet, and unravel an enigma that may be the extinction of life as humanity knows it.

I've never listened to a novel as audiobook and this is not the genre I would normally buy at Audible?, so I was surprised at how well this went. The author's writing is very engaging and it flows nicely with the narration being smooth and not intrusive. The military material in the content is just detailed enough to engage a civilian type without tipping into 'Rambo', and the science conjecture is also very believable (evolution etc re the monsters). I particularly enjoyed the build up of the last scenes, leading to one very smoothly crafted finale. Bravo!

Well done Sci Fi Thriller
