About this listen

Bennett Lockwood, Earl of Dunsby, should feel nothing but contentment in his life, yet an unfulfilled longing tug at his heart. Despite past heartbreak, he yearns for a love match. When he discovers an injured young woman in the woodlands, he finds himself drawn to her, especially as she struggles to recall her past.

Delphine, Countess of Dunrobin, awakens to find herself in unfamiliar surroundings, her past shrouded in uncertainty. Grateful for her rescue, she leans on the Lockwood family for support, particularly Bennett, whose kindness captivates her.

As Delphine recovers, Bennett's feelings deepen, even as she resolutely declares her reluctance to marry. When visitors arrive to take Delphine home, Bennett senses danger in their motives and vows to protect her at all costs. With any chance of a future together now threatened, he must confront his own desires and decide whether to fight for love against all odds.

only made it to the 5th chapter. normally when books are less than good I still finish them. couldn't do it for this one. surely written by a school girl. nothing wrong with narration, just juvenile dialogue and themes.
