Great story and narration. I really dislike the additional sounds and special effects though. They're distracting and make it harder to listen to the story. I usually won't purchase a version like this.

I adored this series until this instalment decided to take the scenic route, circling through domestic pack life and endless bonding moments. The emotional beats are heartfelt and sweet enough to melt a shifter’s heart, but the story often stalls with filler and repeated reassurances. Action lands politely rather than packing a punch, though an unexpected betrayal hits nicely.

The audiobook cast are phenomenal and they all deliver strong performances, keeping characters distinct and engaging. However I had to speed up playback (significantly, like 2.0+) to avoid DNFing due to slow plot pacing. Despite the fluff, the ending ties things up beautifully, giving some satisfaction.
