هذا المجلّد الثالث يتابع سرد الحكاية الفلسطينية في المنفى . يبدأ بالعام 1958 الذي شهد انضمام سورية إلى مصر في دولة الجمهورية العربية المتحدة ، كما شهد تبلور السعي الفلسطينيّ لإعادة بناء الحركة الوطنيّة الفلسطينية التي دمرتها نكبةُ 1948. ويُغطّي المجلّد الفترة من 1958 حتى 1963، أي الى العام الذي تسلّم فيه السلطة في سورية التحالف الذي ضمّ حزب البعث العربي الإشتراكي والحركة الناصريّة وهو ذاته العام الذي شهد انفكاك هذا التحالف ودخول طرفيه في صراع دام هو صراع الذي بلغ ذروته في 18 تموز/يوليو 1963 ، والذي وَجَدَ الفلسطينيّون أنفسهم منهمكين فيه، ويرى المجلّد اسراراً من وقائع هذا الصراع جرب نشرها فيه لأول مرّة.
