Publisher's Summary

Cat shifter Bree Dwyer doesn't fear much. Ironically, what she fears most is the person who was put on the Earth just for her. Your true mate wasn't supposed to be cruel and twisted; wasn't supposed to be someone who'd never love or want to claim you. The rumors that her true mate is dead bring her only relief. Bree's intent on moving forward with her life and building a future with someone else. Sadly, the male she wants most is one she can never have - a hot-as-sin wolverine shifter who happens to be her boss...and the cousin of her predestined mate.

Aleksandr "Alex" Devereaux detests being bullshitted, but he's been lying to himself for years - pretending he thinks of Bree as extended family; that he doesn't want her so bad he aches with it; that he can't feel himself weakening against her pull. The night they spend together changes everything. He's done fighting himself on what he wants. Someone isn't happy about that. Possibly the same "someone" who's playing mind games with Bree, trying to scare her. They're succeeding, because too many leads point to the possibility that the culprit could be the one person that she's determined to believe is dead.

Contains mature themes.

Yet Another Series

And what a fantastic start!!!! I can't wait to learn more about the characters in this series. Sometimes you can get overwhelmed by all the new characters in a book but Suzanne kept us moving along nicely. Narration was, as usual, exceptional.
Looking forward to the next installment.

Great alternate shifter world

Really enjoyed the storyline and characters. The narrator was great but would have loved to have had a male performing as well.
Otherwise a great start to the series. Will definitely try the second instalment

Woo, a new series

For fans of the Phoenix and Mercury pack series, this is a bit more of a psychological thriller than most. It also expands on the true mate vs imprinted mate and free choice themes that were explored between Riley & Tao and Dominic & Mila. Overall a very good story.
However, this series is under a different publisher and thus introduces a new narrator. For longterm fans of the Phoenix and Mercury Pack audiobooks, this is disappointing. The consistency and individuality of continuing characters’ voices that Jill Redmond provided are completely gone. Samantha Cook narrates at a good pace and her Russian accents aren’t bad, but she is not as accomplished at giving unique voices to the different characters and the male voices are often flat and emotionless from her attempt to deepen the tone.
Will I follow the Olympus Pride series? Yes, definitely. However I may just read the books and not bother buying the audio versions.

was wonderful to hear the packs again

Suzanne is awesome writing Shifter novels...I've read a few different authors but noone writes it quite like Suzanne.
Patricia d eddy comes close.
story was simple and well paced. not as much angst as some of the others Ms Wright has written but clever just the same. the steamy scenes were hooot!!! and Samantha Cook did an awesome job as she has with all the others.
if your keen on hot, alpha Shifters with great storylines then read phoenix pack and mercury pack and now Olympus pride....go for it!

Great!

Great likeable characters, great story which sucks you in from the start, great narration, but the audiobook does need some editing.
Seems to be a common theme with Suzanne Wright audiobooks-- phrases said twice in a row, background noise etc.
Still recommend!

Loved it

While the narrative takes a chapter to fully get going, the story actually has good pace and matches with the characters created. The protagonist is a strong woman and doesn’t bend to the will of others (men or otherwise) - a refreshing change from much literature but a trait I’ve learned to expect from Wright. Other female characters were disappointingly petty and bitchy, however. The love interest was suitably steamy, as were the rough-love intimacy scenes, but it suited the characters and tone of the novel. Quite enjoyed the plot twists and turns throughout. Others may have guessed the ending but I didn’t.
Here’s hoping the slight loose ends from this narrative are tied up in the next instalment.
Also, the narrator did an amazing job and her voice & character voices portrayed each character extremely well.
