しかし、私がすぐに気づいたのは、商売というものが、もし真面目に専念し、正しく実践されるならば、人間の生活にとって、たんに有益というばかりではなく、また必要なものであり、それどころか、不可欠なものであるということである。
商売は、世界を真に動かしているものであり、それゆえ、さまざまな技芸の中で最も高貴なものである」
