 平成25年に式年遷宮が行われた、伊勢の神宮。それが内宮・外宮より成ることは一般にも知られているが、その他に多くの別宮・摂末所管社があり、全て合わせると125社となる。由来は様々だが、その多くは、神宮創祀の際、地元の神が従って、神宮に土地の譲渡や貢納を約束する話となっている。その別宮の一つ伊雑宮が、志摩市に鎮座する。この伊雑宮は、伊勢から離れたリアス式海岸に近いという地理的条件もあって、別宮の一つでありながら、独立的傾向が強かった。明治の神仏分離を経てもなお、北極星の信仰に関わる祭祀が続けられ、江戸時代には、伊雑宮こそが神宮の発祥、中心であるという偽書の発行に関わり、幕府より弾圧を受けるという「まつろわぬ」歴史もある。そもそも伊勢とは、神話の時代に遡れば「まつろわぬ」土地だった。また、中世においても「まつろわぬ」ものの噴出する土地であった。朝廷、国家の宗教的中心地に、なぜ「まつろわぬ」要素があるのか。事象の「裏側」から見た、伊勢というものの深層を掘り下げる。語り:高橋御山人 聞き役:盛池雄峰(C)2015 リブラ・エージェンシー Travel Writing & Commentary
