 高知市に鎮座する土佐一宮・土佐神社。祭神は一言主神・アジスキタヒコネノ神。 高知県南西部・黒潮町の沿岸の加茂神社より遷ったともいわれるが、 元々は、大和・葛城より、流刑されてここにたどり着いたのだという。 その話は古文献に載っているが、書物によって内容が大きく異なる。 ○続日本紀では、雄略天皇の怒りに触れ流刑に処せられる ○より古い日本書紀では、天皇と対等の立場で、ともに狩りを楽しむ ○最古の書物・古事記では、天皇が一言主神に畏れ畏まる ○続日本紀より新しい日本霊異記では、修験道の開祖・役小角に使役される 時を追うごとに著しく零落していく一言主神。 この話の舞台である葛城には、今も一言主神社と、 アジスキタヒコネノ神を祀る、全国加茂神社の総本社・高鴨神社が鎮座する。 そしてそこは、これらの神を崇める、古代豪族賀茂氏の根拠地だった。 ●役小角や安倍晴明の師・賀茂保憲など数々の陰陽師を輩出した呪術家の一族 ●全国に展開し「カモ(賀茂・加茂・鴨等)」の地名や神社を各地に残した ●高鴨神社より登った山裾には「高天原」と神武天皇に討たれた土蜘蛛の塚も ●一言主神社にも土蜘蛛の塚があり、能の題材となっている 流刑された神を祀り、歴史に名を残す呪術師を幾人も輩出し、 全国に広がって、「まつろわぬ民」土蜘蛛との深い関係も見出せる、 古代豪族・賀茂氏の姿を神秘のヴェールの向こうに透かし見る。 語り:高橋御山人/聞き役:盛池雄峰2014 リブラ・エージェンシー Travel Writing & Commentary
