 福井県南西部、おおい町の旧名田庄村は「陰陽道と暦のふるさと」。平安時代の大陰陽師・安倍晴明の子孫は、代々陰陽道をもって朝廷に仕え、後に「土御門」を名乗るが、応仁の乱の戦災を逃れる為、有宣（ありのぶ）のとき、領地であった名田庄に移り住む。それから子の有春（ありはる）、孫の有脩（ありすえ）と住み続け、徳川家康に陰陽道宗家と認められた曾孫の久脩（ひさなが）の代になってようやく京へ戻った。土御門家は、名田庄に住んでいる間も、家業の陰陽道を忘れることなく、その祭祀を行った為、独特の信仰や神社がこの地に残った。例えば名田庄の加茂神社は、今も泰山府君を祭神とするが、これは元々中国・道教の神であり、土御門家がこの神を祀って天皇長寿の祈祷を行った。土御門家三代の墓も、その近くに残る。その後土御門家は、暦発行の独占権を得て栄え、独自の神道流派「土御門神道」をも打ち立てるが、明治維新により廃された。それを後世に伝えようと、関係者によって名田庄に復興されたのが「天社土御門神道本庁」である。強大な守護大名武田氏の庇護に与ろうと、若狭には公家が頻繁に下向して来たが、数代に渡り本格的に住んだ例は稀。由緒正しき陰陽師達は、この山村で何を思ったのか。(C)高橋御山人2015 Travel Writing & Commentary
