 子貢は、その日、大きく胸を張って、腹の底まで朝の大気を吸いこみながら、ゆったりと、大股に歩いていた。孔子の勉強会に赴き、独自の理論を展開すること、そしてそれをほめてもらえる期待に胸を膨らます子貢。そんな子貢に、孔子はどう答えるのか。
