池端さんは、将来声優になるという大志を胸に上京してきた。
しかし、専門学校を卒業後、オーディションには一向に受からず、事務所への所属もならず、 生活のためのアルバイトに日々を追いかけられるようになり、次第に目標を見失って行った。
やがてそんな暮らしが数年続き、貯金も底をつき、交際していた男性とも別れたのを機に遂にギリギリで踏ん張っていた生きる希望がぷつんと途絶えてしまう。 知らない街に行こう、そしてそのまま…。
思い詰めてというほどではなかったのだが、死ぬつもりで電車に揺られ、降り立った街の歩道橋の上、飛び降りるタイミングを計っていた池端さんの目の前に現れたのは…。
