順子さんがまだ高校生の頃。深夜、ふと目が覚めて見上げた先にあるのは赤富士の額装された一枚の絵。
なんとそこにはおかっぱ頭の少女の顔が浮かび上がっていた。動揺する順子さんをよそに頭の中には「アユミが来たよ」という声が響き、写真のようなイメージがはっきりと見えた。白いセーターを着た二人の十代の男の子たちと、間に挟まって嬉しそうな笑顔の女の子。
