科挙の秀才の試験にもいつまで経っても合格しない男。汚れたツギハギだらけの着物を着て、
周りの者たちにからかわれると気取った漢文調の口調で言い返すからいつも笑い者にされている。
書物の浄写の仕事も、酒を飲むと注文主も書物も紙も何もかもたちまちの中うちに無くしてしまうから、
仕事もなくいつも貧乏で、ついには盗みを働いた金で飲みに来ていた。しかしある時から、酒場に現れなくなる･･･。
魯 迅（ろじん1881年9月25日 – 1936年10月19日）
中国の小説家、翻訳家、思想家。本名は周 樹人（しゅう じゅじん）
浙江省紹興府の士大夫の家系に生まれ、中国で最も早く西洋の技法を用いて小説を書いた作家であり、
その作品は、中国だけでなく、東アジアでも広く愛読されている。
日本でも中学校用のすべての国語教科書に彼の作品が収録されている。
